In July 2010, Ben, Melodie and I took a trip to New Braunfels and stayed at the Lamb's Rest Inn in the small town of Gruene. It was a cute little bed and breakfast with beautiful grounds, wonderful hosts and delicious breakfasts!
We had hoped to go to Schlitterbahn but the weather didn't cooperate, although Ben and I did go tubing down the Guadalupe River which was quite an adventure!
So the second day we went to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch to take a drive through tour and feed the animals. Mel loved doing this when she was younger and it was really fun.
The animals aren't shy at all!
The rest of the trip was spent sightseeing and eating. Gruene has great food!
It was a fun trip and I highly recommend New Braunfels for a family vacation.
