Thanksgiving in Broken Bow

Our family spent Thanksgiving in Broken Bow and a good time was had by all!

All packed!

Ready to hit the road!

Everyone except Melodie left Wednesday afternoon. We all met in Paris and then drove to Broken Bow together.

We're here!

We stayed at the Pine Lake Resort in the Boondock Bliss cabin.

It was a beautiful cabin with everything we needed!

Once we arrived, we unpacked and Ben grilled hot dogs for our dinner.

I set the table for our Thanksgiving dinner the next day.

That night we all relaxed at the cabin, just happy to finally be there!

Thanksgiving morning, I had a cup of tea by the fire before getting busy in the kitchen.

Fran and Harvey took a Thanksgiving selfie.  After over 50 years, they still look like newlyweds!

The family visited and played games until dinner. Melodie arrived around 1:00 and at about 2:30, dinner was finally on the table.

Everyone happy to be eating!

After dinner, the family graciously cleaned up the kitchen while I relaxed.

We watched the Cowboys game from the hot tub and celebrated a Cowboys victory!

Friday morning started with one of my favorite Broken Bow rituals, tea on the porch.

Around noon, we all went to check out the Pine Lake clubhouse so my dad could play some pool. Mel, mom, Fran and I walked over to get our steps in.

Back at the cabin, Ann made Brie with honey and pecans, delicious!

Nothing says holidays like wine and cheese!

We took a drive so everyone could get out of the cabin for a bit and see the lake.

The trees were displaying their fall colors!

Back at the cabin, we grilled hamburgers and enjoyed visiting around the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub until bedtime.

On Saturday morning, it was raining again. I enjoyed the porch all morning, having tea by the fire pit with my mom.

Then it was time to pack up and head home, our wonderful trip over!

We were all happy to enjoy the holiday together in Broken Bow! We have so much to be thankful for!
