Ben and I had so much fun watching the Superbowl last year in Broken Bow that we decided to do it again this year. Although we had fun like we always do, it was very cold so there isn't much to write about. Just picture us in our pajamas relaxing at the cabin and you pretty much have a visual of what this trip was like!
Let's hit the road!
We made our way to Grateful Head Pizza as soon as we arrived.
We stopped by Choctaw Landing but no big wins this year!
Then it was over to Mountain Man Meat Market for our vittles!
We stayed at the same cabin we stayed at last year, Evergreen Dreams.
The TV worked this year but Direct TV didn't have the ONE channel we needed for the Superbowl! Luckily, Ben was able to sign up for a free streaming service that was showing it. Crisis averted!
We moved to the hot tub for the second quarter!
The next morning started like this.
We took a drive to Lakeview Lodge and were able to do a short walk.
Then it was back to the cabin for hamburgers.
This is THE BEST hamburger Ben has ever cooked. We got a mixture of ground beef and ground filet and it made the burgers so delicious and juicy, I will remember this burger forever!!
After burgers, we took one more short walk around the cabin before hitting the hot tub. This would be the last time we were outside until we left!
The next day was spent inside as it was rainy and cold.
We did make one more brief trip to Choctaw and then grilled hot dogs at the cabin.
Then we hit the hot tub one more time!
One (or two) more cups of coffee before heading home the next morning.

I tried to capture the steam from my cup. |
This was the coldest weather we've ever had at Broken Bow but we still enjoyed looking out at the trees, the peace and quiet, and the relaxation.
