2016 Cruise: Day 3: Sea Day

We were up at 7:00 (which was really 6:00 to us). I tried to catch the sunrise but got more of a moonrise instead from this side of the ship.

Ben and I decided to try the main dining room instead of the buffet for breakfast. I got an omelet and Ben got fried eggs, hash browns and bacon. I sprung for the fresh squeezed OJ which you have to pay for and it was ok but not good enough to get again since I'm fine with just water. We also had some fruit from the buffet.

We went back up to the room to get our suits on and got down to stake our claim at the Solarium around 9:30 a.m. Ben has to have shade at all times so I picked two chairs together by themselves on the side of the pool deck in the shade. He went to the gym while I lounged and then joined me afterwards.

It wasn't long before it was Pina Colada time.  It's 5:00 somewhere right.?

We spent the day relaxing. Ben finally pried me out of my chair long enough to watch him go down the water slides.

We went back to our chairs and got ice cream at a stand called Sprinkles which they open up on the pool deck at 11:30. At 1:00, we went over to the pool deck to watch the belly flop competition. It was pretty hilarious and fun but I got a little sunburned standing on the open pool deck.

We met up with Nick then and decided to go have lunch at the buffet which I was not at all excited about but I ended up with a hot dog and fries and it was totally edible.

I saw a guy at the pool with a lava flow which is my favorite drink ever. So we went to Boleros for a frozen drink afternoon snack.

I decided to go back to the room and rest and get ready for dinner and left the boys to their own devices. They totally forgot about sunset during their shenanigans so I watched it on the balcony by myself. It was a little cloudy but there is no such thing as a bad sunset while on vacation.

We met back up for our 7:00 dinner reservation.  This was the night of the BEST dessert I had the whole cruise, the warm chocolate cake. It was soooo good!

After dinner, I dragged Ben to the Platinum Theater to see Royal Caribbean's production of the Broadway show Saturday Night Fever. We found two seats and asked the nice lady if anyone was sitting there and she replied "You are!" They were from Arlington so we had a nice chat. They were really the best seats in the house.  We really enjoyed the show and even Ben liked it.

We ended the night watching Silver Linings Playbook in our room and went to bed at midnight.
