This map shows some of the little beaches along the walk from Horseshoe to Warwick Long Bay. Knowing this made for a great day for Ben and I!
Once off the ship, we caught a shuttle to take us down to Horseshoe Bay.
We got settled on our towels to soak up some sun. We decided not to rent chairs since we knew we were going to be walking later anyway. After a while it was time for lunch.
And of course a swizzle!
Once we had lunch, we started our beach walk. As we got to a less crowded area of Horseshoe, we took a few more pictures.
Along the way, we came to several beautiful coves and overlooks.
We then came upon a beautiful stretch of beach that was totally secluded. Even though it wasn't our final destination, we stopped here and were totally alone for hours--our own private paradise!
I had only brought my old point and shoot Canon to the beach. So Ben and I took an old school selfie!
After a while we decided to continue on to Warwick Long Bay. But when we got there, it didn't seem as nice as the other beach.
So we turned around and went back to "our beach!"
I tried to take a picture of the crystals and shells that wash up from the ocean and make the sand to appear pink.
A little shower came through and finally chased us off of our beach. Otherwise, I don't know I would have ever left!
We made our way back to the ship to clean up for dinner. I had really wanted to take the ferry to the city of Hamilton and have dinner at a hotel there. But the time got away from us and since the last ferry back to the ship was at 8:30, we decided to just have dinner on the ship.
We tried to catch sunset up on deck 7 but it was a bit of a bust.
We went to the main dining room for the first time and it was good.
After dinner, we had a glass of wine at the wine bar, Cellars.
We went back over to the lounge and met up with some people we had met on the ship and listened to some music. We had a great beach day and we still had a full day in Bermuda to look forward to!
