We were up early for our last day in Bermuda. I knew that we would be up early enough to catch the sunrise so I made some tea and went out on the balcony.
We went to the buffet for breakfast and then went out at 8:30 am to meet our tour bus. Today we were taking a popular tour called Hidden Gems which would take us to a place on the east side of the island called Tom Moore's Jungle where we would swim in a cave, cliff jump and snorkel. We would also have lunch and ice cream in town. I was really excited for this tour!
Along the way, I tried to take some pictures through the bus windows. Since I had been part of the way already on the way to the beach, I knew what to look for and tried to be ready.
There are lots of bus stops in Bermuda and many of them are brightly colored. I tried and tried to get a shot of one but it's hard to do on a moving bus. So when I finally got it, I was very proud of this picture!
Once we got to the jungle, we were given a backpack with water and a helmet. We wore our swimsuits so we would be ready to swim once we got to the caves. On the way to the caves, we saw lots of plants and our guide would point them out along the way and show us what remedies the plants were used for.
Our path through the jungle.
The first place we stopped at was a beautiful lagoon.
Then it was on to our first cave, which was a dry cave.
Next we were in a cave with crystal clear water and went swimming.
Then it was on to Blue Hole where Ben cliff jumped but I just took pictures!

Then it was time for lunch and ice cream. It was yummy.
I got a picture of the famous Swizzle Inn.
Since the snorkeling conditions were not good in the original spot we were supposed to go to, our guide took us to a beach closer to the ship where the water would be calmer and we could spend more time. There would probably be turtles there too so that was a plus!

We got to the beach and the water was shallow and calm enough that I felt confident to go in once Ben said it was ok. But first I took some pictures.
We saw several green sea turtles and a few fish. It wasn't the greatest snorkeling but the turtles were cool! It was also good practice for me to get to practice snorkeling. Overall it was a great tour!
Unfortunately, we got back to the ship just in time for all aboard so I wasn't able to get my souvenirs at the dockyard. Sorry dad! I'll be sure to bring you a chocolate rum cake back next time!
Back on the ship, we got cleaned up and watched sailaway on the pool deck, then had dinner in the dining room. We then went and saw the "hypnotist" which was the only show we saw that we didn't care for--it was pretty cheesy!
This was the night of the "White Hot Party" on the pool deck where everyone dresses up in white. Ben and I don't usually go to stuff like this but we had a blast!
Pre-party cocktail.
Scenes from the party. There MIGHT even be video of me dancing somewhere!
By the end of the night, the ship really started rocking since we were now headed into some rocky weather heading out over the Atlantic and back to Boston. I put my sea bands on and didn't take them off again until we were almost to Boston!
Next up would be two fun days at sea! Ben and I were ready to relax before our weekend in Boston.
