Today we would be spending the day at Kapalua Beach, walking the Kapalua Coastal Trail and having lunch at the Burger Shack on the beach. This is always my favorite day on any Maui vacation!
Since we now had all our groceries, I was able to have my favorite Maui breakfast of banana bread, a bagel with lilikoi cream cheese, fruit and pog.

We got to Kapalua Beach by 7:00 a.m. and had it all to ourselves for part of the morning!

Eventually we left the beach to go walk some of the Kapalua Coastal Trail.
Then it was over to the Ritz Carlton for lunch at the famous Burger Shack which is known for their fabulous milk shakes!

After lunch, we went back to the condo for some lanai time and to rest up before our dinner at Merriman's in Kapalua.
We got to Merriman's at 4:00 to have a drink at the Point Bar before dinner. I got a cocktail called the No ka `oi which means "the best" in Hawaiian. It is definitely one of the best cocktails I've had!
Ben got one of their famous Mai-Tais and then a beer. That is my second cocktail in this picture, but who's counting?!
Dinner at Merriman's was a wedding gift to Nick and Kate from Nick's brother Ben. We were seated at a very nice outdoor table where we had a great dinner and then watched the sunset from the restaurant.
It was a lovely ending to a great day!
