The Gratts and Nick on Maui: Day 1

Nick, Ben and I took a trip to Maui in October.  Since we wanted a cheap place with a great view, we decided to all stay in a 2-bedroom oceanfront condo.  This way, we had plenty of space and the ability to cook some meals at the condo and hopefully save a little money on food.

I didn't do a ton of planning for this trip, as we just wanted to relax and see what each day would bring.  We would usually decide the night before what we wanted to do the next day, but sometimes we just got up and decided that day what we would do.

Before we knew it, the day was here and we were off!

Once we arrived on Maui, we got our rental car and then headed to Costco and the supermarket for some of the groceries we would need for the week.  We got to our condo, the Royal Kahana, at 3:00 p.m. to check in.

We had a look around at the pool and grounds.

Then it was time to check out our condo with the beautiful view and it did not disappoint!

We got settled and then walked to a nearby pizza place for dinner.  After that, the party was over for us but not until we watched our first sunset!
