The Gratts and Nick on Maui: Day 3

On day 3 we were up at 4:00 a.m. since we had gone to bed so early!  We need to get on island time!

I sat on the balcony and had my Hawaiian breakfast of a bagel with lillikoi (passionfruit) cream cheese, an apple banana, Maui gold pineapple and POG (passionfruit-orange-guava juice).  I loved POG and wish they sold it here at home!

Today we went out and did some more grocery and souvenir shopping and I also wanted to go to the nearby farmer's market where we got fresh banana bread and some produce.

Back at the condo, Ben made me a lava flow to enjoy on the balcony.  It was delicious and better than one I've ever had at any restaurant or bar.

For lunch, we walked over to the nearby Maui Brewing Co. so the boys could try some local beers.  We got a plate of Kalua pork nachos--it was HUGE!

After all those nachos, I told the boys I had to get some steps in so we decided to walk the beach in front of our condo as far as it would go.  It was actually pretty wide and nice in some spots so I made a note to come out and sit with a book later in the week.

Back at the condo we all took a nap and then just snacked for dinner.  Sunset wasn't the best, but there is no such thing as a bad sunset on Maui!
