First was breakfast at the condo and I had my other favorite breakfast of banana bread with lillikoi cream cheese, apple banana, and POG on the balcony.
After breakfast, we drove to Kapalua and parked at Kapalua Bay and showed Ben H. our favorite beach on Maui.
It started to rain lightly so we waited for it to stop--luckily most showers on Maui are brief. We walked down to the Montage, the most luxurious resort on Maui. Ben and I are really hoping to stay here on our 10-year anniversary next year!
It was early and nothing was open so after a brief look around the resort, we decided to walk over to the Ritz Carlton. I talked the boys into walking over via the Kapalua coastal trail so that Ben H. could see the beautiful Maui coastline.
We walked all the way to Oneola Bay, which is the beach in the picture above. Although Ben and I have walked parts of the trail before, we had never made it all the way to Oneola so once we got there, I walked down to take pictures of the beach that I had only seen from a distance on previous trips.
Beach selfie!
We eventually made it over to the Ritz Carlton which is the hotel Ben and I stayed at on our honeymoon in 2009.
Along the way, Ben H. found a hammock!
Once we got hungry, we decided to go down to the Burger Shack on the beach for lunch.
Ben and I split a burger and fries.
A resident chicken came over looking for leftovers.
Since our car was at Kapalua Bay we worked our way back, stopping back at the Montage for drinks at their pool bar. On our last trip, Ben and I got a drink in a pineapple and I really wanted to have it again.
Yummo!
Finally we made our way back to the car getting one more look at beautiful Kapalua Bay.
Back at the condo, the boys grilled steaks and corn for dinner and we saw a beautiful sunset.
Tomorrow we would finally hit the beach!
